Dry biscuits are the only acceptable option, but it is better to make hamster cookies with your own hands – this option is completely guaranteed by the absence of chemicals and preservatives that can be found in the simplest biscuits.

How to make hamster cookies at home

Before preparing and giving cookies to hamsters, you should determine exactly what ingredients can be used without harm to the health of the baby, and then choose one of the recipes that can be given to all breeds of hamsters.

The first recipe contains the usual pet food and raw egg whites. Such a dry cookie for a hamster is completely harmless, and kids gnaw it with pleasure. For cooking you need:

• pour chicken protein into a deep bowl and beat it with a whisk;
• add food in such quantity that a thick mixture is obtained and mix;
• Arrange in molds and put on a faience plate.

The second variant of the biscuit would be a great treat for a Syrian hamster, but should be given with caution to a Djungarian hamster due to the addition of a sweet and starchy banana. The delicacy should be prepared as follows:

• grate a small piece of a greenish banana;
• mix with the usual food, the substance should be thick;
• Pour into molds and place on a small plate.

Both types need to be baked in the microwave for no more than 1 minute. It is recommended to make 1-2 cookies, because they are stored in the refrigerator for a very short time, and the hamster simply does not have time to eat a large portion.

Thanks to the ability to make treats for pets on their own, the question is, is it possible for a hamster to have cookies, they often give a positive answer. However, it should be remembered that such permission applies only to homemade treats and does not apply to industrial pastries. A little time spent on cooking cookies is more than compensated by the pleasure of the baby, complete confidence in the safety of the “yummy” and the excellent health of the pet.
